I originally started the "WWW Bikelane" back in 1993. Hosted from my personal account at Purdue University. Eventually I bought the domain bikelane.com and hosted the website. I created the site to catalog all the interesting biking related websites on the Internet. Back before there were search engines and people would publish books with interesting websites in them.
Since those dark ages the need for topic directories, or even web directories, has passed. So I've decided to relaunch the site as a blog.
